Custom Airshow Fine Art Prints

The Gallery

Blue Angels

Showcasing the pride and professionalism of the U.S. Navy and Marines Corp., the Blue Angels are one of the world’s premiere fight demonstration squadrons.

Founded in 1953, the elite U.S. Thunderbirds showcase the precision, professionalism, dedication, and pride of men and women serving in the U.S. Air Force.

A-10 Thunderbolt II ("Warthog")

Entering service in 1978, the heavily armored A-10 was specifically designed for close troop ground support. The entire plane was built around a powerful 30 mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon which excelled at neutralizing tanks/armored vehicles and quick action against ground forces.

B-25 Mitchell

Named after the famed aviation pioneer, General William “Billy” Mitchell, the North American B-25 Michell bomber served in every theater during World War II. It was a medium-sized bomber with a carrying capacity of about 5,000 pounds (2268 kg). Nearly 10,000 B-25s were produced.

F-16 Fighting Falcon

Designed as a supersonic, highly maneuverable, multi-role, tactical fighter. Since initial production in 1978, over 4,600 F-16s have been built in many different variations. Production stopped in 2017 in favor of newer aircraft like the F-35 Lightning.

F-22 Raptor

The F-22 is a stealth, twin-engine, tactical fighter built from 2005 to 2012. Its combination of advance avionics systems, stealth, and aerodynamic  enable unprecedented air combat capabilities. About 187 are currently in service.

F-35 Lightning

Entering service in 2015 and projected to operate until 2070, the single engine F-35 replaced the F-22 as the stealth, multi-role, combat aircraft for the U.S. military.

Other Airshow Photos

An assortment of various excellent airshow photos. Enjoy!

It starts with an image…

From Capture to Processing to Print…

Living in Florida definitely has its benefits—like a “metric ton” of airshows! These images were captured using Canon DSLRs and professional 300mm and 600mm prime telephoto lenses (which, by the way, also weigh a metric ton). These photos are NOT “retouched.”  For instance, clouds and extra planes were not added or moved (or even removed) using photo manipulation. Only “traditional” photo adjustments such as cropping, exposure, contrast, dust removal, dodging, burning, dehaze, and clarity were applied to these images. The only time where there was some “Photoshopping” was in blurring propellers on some prop planes (if this was done, it will be noted in the listing).

The Details!

The amount of fine details in these high-resolution images is stunning (especially in large prints). Unfortunately, a webpage cannot do them justice.

Extreme Crop!

Here is an extremely “zoomed in” crop of the same photo on the left. If you click on the image above, notice that you can read the pilot’s name on the jet and see his facial expression!

Questions & Answers

Can you make print sizes larger than 13″ x 19″?

We hope to print “gallery-sized” canvases (up to 40″ wide) in the future. For right now, 13″ x 19″is the largest print size available.

I have a specific frame that I want to use. Can a print be made specifically to fit my frame?

Absolutely! Feel free to contact me and tell me your specific needs. And I’ll email you back a quote.

Do you offer a framing or mounting service?

Sorry, I don’t have the expertise to offer those skills.

Are there things I can do to make my prints last longer?

A frame with UV blocking glass definitely will help prevent fading and keep your print looking vibrant for many, many years. You can also try Moab Desert Varnish, Hahnemuhle Protective Spray, or PremierArt Shield. I personally have never used these product, so I would do your homework before applying them. If requested, I’ll be happy to supply a small test print with your order.

How long does shipping take?

Please give me 1-2 weeks to have the image printed, packed, and shipped. I will send out shipping confirmation and tracking information once the carrier has it.
